The advanced weeks of the live-aboard operations program continue to encompass the full range of skills and knowledge required of a live-aboard crew member. These advanced weeks of the program cover technical and practical topics focusing on safety and customer service.
The fourth week gives students extensive training in shipboard fire fighting skills. Academic topics as well as practice "hands-on" fire fighting drills will be covered.
The fifth week is your second internship on a live-aboard dive vessel. During this period, students will demonstrate and expand upon skills and knowledge gained during the first four weeks of the program. Progress will be evaluated and student's strengths and weaknesses will be addressed.
The sixth and final week focuses on the job search. Resumes will be developed, job seeking strategies will be provided and potential employers will be discussed. Students will work closely with the Academy's placement director.
